Shopping for a Home
As a agent I represent the buyer's interest in a real estate transaction. Before making a decision, however, I can explain the pros and cons of being represented versus entering into another agency relationship called intermediary or being unrepresented in a new home purchase.
When you're ready to visit houses, I will be there to help you with:
- Use market data to give you the most accurate account of the market
- Arranging showings
- Track properties you've seen.
- Identifying homes that meet your criteria - refer to your "what's right for you" list
After touring each home, write down what you liked and didn't like. Develop a rating system that will help narrow the field. For example, pick the house you like best on day one and compare all other houses to it. When you find a better one, use the new favorite as the standard.
The information provide above is personal commentary and should not be taken as fact. The Texas Real Estate Commission who licenses Texas real estate agents is very clear about informing clients that even as Texas Realtors, we are licensed as real estate salesmen and are: not Texas licensed attorneys giving any legal advice or binding legal information; not Texas licensed home inspectors, not appraisers, not surveyors, not loan officers, bankers or underwriters and are not title company representatives.
